About me:
I’m a husband and father of 3 girls, one being a set of twins and their other an older sister. By trade I’m a Design Engineer that specializes in designing valves in 3D SolidWorks software. In the past I actually ran a business I started from the ground up called Track Junkie Racing, hence TJR. What I did with TJR was create a website and sold 1000’s of motorcycle accessories to thousands of people all over the United States. I operated out of my home and stocked a lot of parts. I became a vendor at local race track days where I set up tents and sold goods to the racers as well and raced around the track at 100+mph dragging my knee pucks around the corners. It was a blast and I ran the business for 5 years, but eventually with the economy declining so much people’s hobbies are the first to tighten their belts on. So sales declined from this and eventually “The juice isn’t worth the squeeze” so I closed it down and started blogging. Now I did all this by working my day job as a mechanical designer, but it really made it hard to spend time with the family which ironically I started the business to provide more for my family. So to be able to spend more time at home, blogging is my next adventure using the experience I obtained from running a website and videoing racers. I believe it’s more sustainable for me and allows me to have more family time.

My blog www.TJRSim.com will be all about Sim Racing news that I gather from around the web. I will not limit it to just myself producing it, but also promote others in the community. I will post related sim racing hardware reviews I find on YouTube that I’m unable to do myself which in turn helps my community learn about new sim racing gear, helps the manufacture of the products and helps the YouTuber that reviews the product.

I’m currently trying to expand my web presence and taking my you tube channel and blog to a new level. I just created a new blog TJRSim and my old blog is Track Junkie Gamer so you can see my progression. I’m making a go at my YouTube channel and blog and expanding it with more video content for everyone’s enjoyment. I will be uploading a host of over the shoulder and in-game videos from Assetto Corsa, Rfactor2, Project Cars, RaceRoom, Stock Car Extreme, Ride, Formula Truck 2013, Euro Truck Simulator 2 and what ever else simulation or racing related. If you would like to see certain in game footage let me know. I’ll bring it for you.

My hope is to have a place for people to collaborate their thoughts on topics around sim racing based on my topic post as well as let me know what can help them so others can chime in or myself to chime in. If you desire to talk about a certain topic you can head to the forums or hit me up and I’ll make it a topic for everyone to see front stage. This is a blog for all sim racers to enjoys!
