It’s a great way to bring it to people like me that didn’t buy in on Driveclub during its first release. I read and watched to many impartial reviews and since I do 99% of my sim racing on PC I decided against picking it up initially.

I’m happy to say I’m actually enjoying Driveclub on my PS4. I have not tried it yet with my Fanatec Clubsport wheel yet, but flogging it around with the g

ame pad is quite a lot of fun! I quickly feel at home with Driveclub as if it feels like a Playstation version of Forza 5 or Forza Horizon which is really the market they seemed to be going after anyway. It’s pretty easy to get your Drift on and the course selection is done really well with a mix of drift tracks, time trials, circuit racing and more. Just a great mix of selection along with the ability to mod your car and unlock other cars along the way. The graphics are gorgeous looking with rain effects that blow every other racing game away! I love how the windshield wipers build up with water as it pushes the rain aside. You see rain trails on the car and puddling on the track. The dynamic weather is refreshing and unlike true racing sims it’s easier to navigate thru making me want to play in the rain even more.

So yes, Driveclub doesn’t feel like a simulation racer to me at all, but more like a simcad leaning heavier to the arcade racer side. Yes I’m using a gamepad so my impression may change slightly, but I’m sure it will still feel like a arcade racer. That’s not really a bad thing to me. It’s a great mix of the two really making for a fun racing experience like you might expect from Grid Autosport or Forza Horizon. Driveclub is a racing game I can fire up when I don’t feel like muscling around my Fanatec wheel. That’s not to say you can’t have fun with your racing wheel though as it does accept wheel control. I plan on checking DriveClub out with my Fanatec wheel and let ya know what I think about the feedback. Until then check out some gameplay videos that I had fun racing around with. I think I might just buy the full version since it’s currently on sale in the Playstation Store for $24.99 Good job Evolution Studios! I’m having fun!

These videos or from my other channel TJRGamer that I upload PS4 gameplay from.
