I am totally blown away with VR with the new Oculus Rift CV1. I was originally going to wait for the CV2 model, but after hearing that there will not be a new Oculus Rift released in 2018, (doesn’t mean they won’t announce one though) and with the awesome 2017 Holiday sales I picked one up at my local Best Buy for $350 which was a great deal as they are normally $399 currently.

The setup was really straightforward and easy even though I was nervous to not mess anything up. If you’re just using VR for seated games play don’t worry about the touch controller setup showing that you need to back up further from the sensor. It’s not optimal to Oculus, but for sim racing, all you need is the head tracking to work so just make sure you get that set up properly.
Ok lets get on with my 1st impressions video below. I’ll do a full review on the Oculus Rift in the coming weeks so stay tuned.
